Haikus from the porch

I

camellia’s limbs nod

was that a flash of lightning

thunder dragged behind

II

rain falls nothing gained

trees’ leaves rain down nothing lost

cat prrays on my lap

III

crow caws across sky

bubbles sprout atop puddles

day gargles thunder
